Windows never fully exposed your product key. And your product key is the same one as Windows 8, that's why nothing was emailed to you. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
After the download completes and When you go to instal windows 8. Then you insert your genuine Windows 8 product key from the side of your pc and click activate it will see your genuine Windows 8 key and activate your pc. The key I provided is generic and is only to be used to kick start the installation process.
I recommend performing a clean instal as upgrades tend to be unstable. NOTE: To perform a clean instal go to advanced options during the instal and delete all your partitions so you have a raw disk and then click instal.
